Sustainable upcycled bags with social impact

At COMEBAGS, we turn used advertising banners, mesh fabric, roll-ups, flags, jerseys, or truck tarps into high-quality, one-of-a-kind items with a story. Together with Lebenshilfe Bruchsal-Bretten e.V., we transform discarded materials into durable bags, pouches, and accessories – sustainable, individual, and socially impactful.

Every product is crafted in inclusive workshops, combining ecological responsibility with genuine handiwork. This gives not only materials a second life but also provides people with disabilities with meaningful and rewarding work opportunities. Since 2023, bags and pencil cases have also been produced by individuals in the correctional labor system at VAW Bruchsal.

Since 2012, COMEBAGS has stood for the combination of sustainability, social commitment, and individual design. Because every banner is processed differently, the result is always a true one-of-a-kind piece with character and high recognition value.

The project is based on the concept of sustainability:
Robust material is repurposed after its initial use
and recycled into new products in a workshop
for people with disabilities

From 2015 to 2025, COMEBAGS received the LEA – the State Prize for Social Responsibility in Baden-Württemberg and was named an "Exemplary Company 2017" and "Exemplary Company 2020." COMEBAGS also received the City of Mannheim's Environmental Award in 2017.

The 4th star is ours!

The banner of the national soccer team, held up during the World Cup victory celebration at the Brandenburg Gate, was turned into recycled bags.

This video shows the workflow from the use of the banner to its processing at Lebenshilfe Bruchsal.

Every bag is a one-of-a-kind piece

The resulting recycled products are high-quality,
and because every sewn piece looks different, they are one-of-a-kind.
